Google Certification

Becoming a Google Certified Educator is essential for teachers in today's society. One benefit of becoming Google Certified is that it facilitates and inspires student learning and creativity. The students are exposed to many different types of activities that allows them to be creative with learning. Another benefit of becoming Google Certified is that it allows you to collect data and increase feedback loops. It is imperative that teachers give back immediate feedback to students to help decrease error and increase wanted behaviors. Being Google Certified allows for teachers to give more immediate feedback. Also, using Google Classroom and G-Suite also allows for teachers to collect data. It is so important that teachers collect data so that they know if their instruction is working effectively or not. If the data shows inefficient academic growth, teachers can alter instruction or instructional strategies. The third benefit of being a Google Certified Educator is that it allows the teacher to increase digital citizenship and digital literacy skills in the classroom. With the increasing use of technology, digital citizenship is something that is needed in today's classrooms. All of the benefits mentioned are benefits that would make me become a more valuable teacher candidate when applying for jobs. They will also allow me to prepare my students for the real world and give them a better education.
